IN A NUTSHELL
Canberra Croatia survived with ten men for the majority of their match against Tigers FC, eventually sealing a point with a Nick Pratezina goal to earn a 2-2 draw. Gungahlin United came from 0-2 down to defeat Canberra Olympic 3-2 with Julian Smith coming off the bench to net the winner. League Champions O’Connor Knights left it late to neat Tuggeranong United, Niko Perinovic the super-sub with the 89th minute winner, and two late goals saw Monaro Panthers defeat Yoogali SC in Griffith.
GOAL OF THE WEEK
A stunning strike from Nick Pratezina, his third goal in three substitute appearances for Canberra Croatia, rescued his team a point in an entertaining match with the Tigers. Daniel Sparrow’s tackle, Thomas James’ delivery, Pratezina’s finish. Top class.
PERFORMANCE OF THE WEEK
A game-changing display from Michael Katsoulis helped turn the match at the AIS on its head. Katsoulis was introduced at half-time with Gungahlin United 0-2 down against Canberra Olympic, scoring within forty seconds to get the Gunners back into the match. He tormented the Olympic defence and was an integral part of the winning goal, capping a superb individual performance.

The league champions will look to extend their unbeaten streak to nineteen in the NPL, and twenty in all competitions, when they welcome Yoogali to O’Connor Enclosed, whilst Tigers FC play Canberra Olympic at the AIS, both games on Saturday.
