Become a Futsal Referee


Capital Football is responsible for the training and education of Referees who choose to referee any sanctioned Capital Football senior or junior futsal competitions.

If you are 13 years of age or older, follow these simple steps and you will be on you way to becoming a Futsal Referee:

  1. Register for a Futsal Level 3 Referee course (Part A) and a training session (Part B)
  2. Complete the Online Futsal Laws of the Game course
  3. Order your Referee Kit
  4. Attend the Course (Part A) and Training Session (Part B)
  5. Register with Capital Football Referees via PlayFootball

Futsal Referee Level 3 Course

This course certifies anyone aged 13 or older to referee sanctioned futsal matches. Becoming a futsal referee is a great way to become involved or stay involved in community futsal, during the summer and winter, as well as:

  • develop leadership skills;
  • improve self-confidence;
  • develop communication skills; and
  • start earning $15 per match.

Part A of the Futsal Referee Level 4 course consists of 3x 90 minute online theory sessions. Part B of the course involves attending 1x 2-hour training session, providing you with the practical skills required of a Futsal Referee.

Before attending the course, you must complete Capital Football’s online Online Futsal Laws of the Game course and send your certificate to Capital Football’s Referee Administration Manager. The online training module provides a basic introduction to the Futsal Laws of the Game and their interpretations which will prepare you for Part A of the Futsal Referee Level 3 course.

Course Fee: $55.00

After Part A of the course, you must attend one of the scheduled Futsal Level 3 Referee training sessions.
