Capital Football holds an annual Women’s and Men’s Charity Shield match, ahead of the start of each season.
Participants each year are determined as follows:

2021 Charity Shield
The 2021 Charity Shield will be held on Saturday 27th March 2021 (pending COVID-19 restrictions) at Deakin Stadium, with the men’s game kicking off at 4pm and the women’s game kicking off at 6:30pm.
The charity for the 2021 Charity Shield will be Fortem Australia, who are a not-for-profit organisation, who helps to support the mental health of first responder families
As there was no Federation Cup Winners for the 2020 season, the following will be used to determine participants for the 2021 edition:
Women’s – Grand Final Rematch (Canberra Croatia FC v Belconnen United FC)
Men’s – NPL1 Men’s Champions v NPL2 Men’s Champions (Canberra Croatia FC v Wagga City Wanderers FC)
