CHARITY SHIELD

Capital Football holds an annual Women’s, Men’s and Youth Charity Shield match, ahead of the start of each season.

Participants each year are determined as follows:

• League Champions (the team that finishes first in the league, formerly known as Premiers) in the season prior (NPL Women’s and NPL Men’s 1st Grade
• Australia Cup Qualifying/Federation Cup Winners
• Grand Final Participants (Girls U17, Boys U18)

Note: Should the same Club be the winners of both, then the participants are as follows:

• League Champions (the team that finishes first in the league, formerly known as Premiers) in the season prior (NPL Women’s and NPL Men’s 1st Grade )
• Australia Cup Qualifying/Federation Cup Runners Up

2024 Charity Shield

The 2024 Charity Shield will be held on Sunday 3 March 2024 with all gate takings to be donated to Sock it to Sarcoma.

11:45: Boys U18 Charity Shield: Canberra Croatia v Canberra Olympic

14:15: Women’s Charity Shield: Canberra Olympic v Belconnen United

17:15: Men’s Charity Shield: Canberra Croatia v O’Connor Knights
