CHARITY SHIELD

Capital Football holds an annual Women’s and Men’s Charity Shield match, ahead of the start of each season.

Participants each year are determined as follows:

  • League Champions (the team that finishes first in the league, formerly known as Premiers) in the season prior (NPL Women’s 1st Grade and NPL Men’s)
  • Australia Cup Qualifying/Federation Cup Winners

Note: Should the same Club be the winners of both, then the participants are as follows:

  • League Champions (the team that finishes first in the league, formerly known as Premiers) in the season prior (NPL Women’s 1st Grade and NPL Men’s)
  • Australia Cup Qualifying/Federation Cup Runners Up

2023 Charity Shield

The 2023 Charity Shield will be held on Saturday, 11 March 2023 with all gate takings to be donated to a Charity to be named.

13:30: Women’s Charity Shield match between Canberra Croatia and Canberra Olympic

16:30: Men’s Charity Shield match between Canberra Croatia and Monaro Panthers
