Club Run Competitions

The Lightning Tournament is a WVSC initiative, and one of the largest junior tournaments held in the ACT, and it is held in April each year at Mawson Playing Fields.

The Lightning Football Tournament is endorsed by Capital Football with tournament proceeds supporting the Woden Valley Soccer Club.

The Wanderers Cup is the biggest pre-season tournament in Canberra, and the best way to fine tune your teams before the season starts.

Scheduled to run as a single day annual event in two divisions (Cup and Shield), the tournament is open to boys and girls U8 – U14 of all skill levels and abilities. Make sure to register early in order to guarantee your team a spot in your division of preference.

Over the last 6 years West Canberra Wanderers have grown the Wanderers Cup to be the largest and most successful tournament in the South of Canberra for U8 – U14 year olds – with over 100 teams participating in our last event!
