From Gungahlin United
Gungahlin United Football Club is proud to be promoting the McGrath Foundation “Pull On Your Socks” campaign to raise money for breast care nurses.
These nurses are dedicated to helping individuals and their families who are affected by breast cancer. They provide physical, psychological and emotional support. The McGrath Foundation raises money (with the help of people and communities) to ensure that the thousands of women and men experiencing breast cancer can have the support of a McGrath Breast Care Nurse, no matter where they live – for free.
Over Rounds 13 (18/8) and 14 (25/8) of the community season Gungahlin United Football Club will be hosting a fundraising campaign to assist the McGrath Foundation in its ongoing efforts. As part of the fundraising GUFC will have pink football socks available for purchase to wear proudly during these rounds. At $12 a pair with all proceeds going to McGrath Foundation, we would love to see all participating teams wearing the socks in support.
Socks will be available on the day/s or alternatively if managers would like to coordinate and purchase in advance please contact tami.moir@gufc.org.au, and the club will also have donation tins and sponsor slots available so if you can get involved please contact them.
