Gungahlin United and Woden Valley will go at it one final time in 2022 this Saturday when the pair meet in the Final Round of the Capital Football Powerchair Challenge at Lyneham Indoor Hockey Centre.
The Gunners have yet to record a win over their arch-rivals from Woden Valley in this campaign and will be especially determined to see out the 2022 season in style, downing Woden in what is sure to be a hugely entertaining and exciting encounter.
The two Canberra Powerchair have bene competing in their second season of the Powerchair competition in Canberra and the action has been nothing short of superb as Woden valley star Brandon Stroud revealed.
“It was great to see how much everyone has progressed over the year and the addition of two new players Cooper and Kitty which is quite exciting,” Stroud commented.
“This season was also the first time that Woden Valley Soccer Club and Gungahlin United came together to form Canberra United when we competed at our first ever Powerchair Football Club Championship against strong opposition.
“If next year is anything like this, we are in for quite a year in 2023. I look forward to another great year of Powerchair Football.”
Admission for the match on Saturday, commencing at 15:30 is free and all spectators are encouraged to attend.
