Round 6 of the 2019 FFA Cup Capital Football preliminary rounds was locked in at the official earlier this month, and now all the details are set for two blockbuster match-ups on Wednesday, 29th May.
The four teams remaining were confirmed during a massive night of matches on the 8th May, with Canberra FC, Tuggeranong United, ANU FC & Tigers FC winning through to the next round.
Tuggeranong United were the first side to be drawn out of the pot to host Match 17, and they were followed by Tigers FC, setting up a bumper matchup for a spot in the Final.
Next out was the only NPL2 side remaining, ANU FC, who were drawn to face Canberra FC and will host the meeting, potentially giving the Students’ a familiarity advantage if the game is played on synthetic.
ANU & Canberra FC have past history in the cup, with ANU pushing Canberra all the way to extra-time at Deakin in a thrilling round four clash.
