After a hugely successful iteration in 2019, Female Football Week is back on the 8th-15th Match in 2020, starting on International Women’s Day!
The aim for the 2020 Female Football Week is to encourage participation and create good environments for participants across all areas of the game, including players, coaches, volunteers and referees.

Sunday 8 March – Join representatives from the ACT Meteors, Canberra United and Ice Hockey ACT on International Women’s Day for a discussion panel about the voice of women in sport, the opportunities and challenges, physical and mental health benefits of sport, and supporting women to achieve.
The discussion panel will run from 2-3pm at Woden Library. Book here!
Wednesday 11 March – Brindabella Blues Football Club will be holding it’s annual “Bring a Friend and Come and Try Evening” from 5.30pm-7pm at Calwell Playing Fields. All you need to bring is joggers, a water bottle and a have-a-go attitude!

Friday 13 March – The rebel Female Football awards will be held on Friday, recognising the incredible contribution by both women and men in football at all levels of the game in Australia. Awards will be given to Community Female Player of the Year, Community Female Coach of the Year, Female Administrator of the Year & Community Female Referee of the Year.
