To celebrate the tireless contribution of volunteers to grass roots football, Capital Football and Summerland Football are delighted to announce the launch of the Summerland Football Club Hero of the Month Awards.

Each award is open to all members and volunteers that are associated with clubs with Capital Football and are selected each month of the playing season based on the contribution they make to their local community club.

As the Official Banking Partner of Capital Football and Canberra United, and sponsor of the 2017 Kanga Cup, Summerland Football is a proud supporter of all levels of the game across the region.

“The Summerland Football Club Hero of the Month Awards provide an opportunity to recognise those heroes who represent so many people across our member clubs and within the Capital Football community,” Capital Football CEO, Phil Brown said.

“The survival of football at a grass roots level relies heavily on those unsung volunteers in the community who generously donate their time. These awards are an opportunity to show our appreciation for those who continue to grow our game,” Summerland Football CEO, Margot Sweeny said.
