The Capital Football Talented Support Program (TSP) is the proposed Elite pathway for entry into Talent Identification for aspiring players within the ACT and surrounding region.
Its goal is to create an equitable player and coaching pathways at all levels of the game to give every talent a chance and foster involvement in football for life.
Capital Football TSP will run with training groups in the age groups of U14, U15 and U16.
The program will offer High Performance training and support for talented players and will be used as a stepping-stone towards player identification, in association with those committed to club football, for the National Youth Championship (NYC, U14-16).
Football Australia has announced that NTC (for U18 girls) will no longer be a week-long tournament. These will now be Talent Development Matches for players aged 18-20. When these matches arise, technical committee to select team for these matches, based on NPLW performance.
In addition to playing and training time, players within the TSP will have access to Career Developmental tools focusing on Wellness, Loading, Psychology, and Nutrition.
The program, with these additional inclusions, will establish Canberra and the surrounding area as a feared and reputable footballing region with a whole of football approach to the identification and development of talented players and coaches.
