Capital Football are pleased to announce that for the 2023 and 2024 seasons coverage of the National Premier League competitions will return to BarTV.
The online platform will show all matches from the men’s and women’s senior first grade competitions for free, including all finals series matches in a return to the production company who are no strangers to Canberra.
“We are delighted to return to BarTV for our NPL coverage for the next two seasons,” Capital Football CEO Ivan Slavich commented.
“After a consultation process, we have listened to the feedback provided by our community and made the switch back to BarTV.
“The company knows our competition and our venues and provides an outstanding service with many added benefits, including a superb analysis tool that will be available for our clubs, coaches, and referees.
“This platform will also enable clubs to promote their corporate supporters and Capital Football welcomes organisations interested in advertising on the platform with several corporates already signing up.”
As well as showing all first grade matches, BarTV will also show every match from the men’s NPLU23 competition and the NPL Women’s Reserves. These two competitions will be behind a paywall with a small annual fee required to access the 168 extra matches.
Grand Finals of the NPLU23 and Women’s Reserves will be screened free on Grand Final weekend, and there are plans to show the Capital League Finals series.
As well as all the league action, BarTV will also be the home of Capital Football’s Australia Cup Qualifying campaign, with selected matches shown live for broadcast in Rounds 3, 4 and the Quarter Finals with both semi-finals and the Final also live.
The Third Round match between State League Division 3 side Yarabi FC and Capital League outfit Yoogali SC will kick-off this coverage on Saturday 25 February.
Experienced local commentator, Russ Gibbs will lead the commentary team with Frank Cachia, former Head Coach of Monaro Panthers and Canberra Olympic, providing expert analysis. Jeremy Magan is also back for further WNPL commentary for 2023 and a swathe of special guests will also provide expert comment.
“It’s fantastic to be able to bring our football community all these amazing events on BarTV,” Russ Gibbs said. “We are well versed with the quality product that they offer and the high standard of their delivery.
“As usual we will be joined by some hugely knowledgeable local experts to provide colour to our commentary and bring you the best of the action every single week.”
NPL coverage will commence on Friday 31 March 2023 and will continue until the Grand Finals in October.
