Capital Football is proud to introduce you to the Football Individual Skills Competition Australia (FISCA) Football Challenge, a brand-new peer-to-peer fundraising initiative in partnership with the Australian Sports Foundation.
FISCA is an opportunity to raise money for your football community club through our peer-to-peer fundraising competition so that your football club can invest in football activities.
Why should our club participate?
FISCA is a straightforward way for clubs to raise money in a passive way. We all know how difficult it is to run a club with volunteers and how time poor volunteers become when they have multiple responsibilities.
FISCA changes all of that! Peer-to-peer fundraising is when individuals organise personal campaigns to collect donations from their peers – this takes all the pressure off club volunteers. Think Movember, Dry July, or any fun run these are all examples of peer-to-peer fundraising.
Participants (this can be players, coaches, managers, etc.) from your club sign up for the challenge and raise money through their network of family and friends. Plus, any donations made during this challenge (over $2) are tax deductible!
How does it work?
Participants need to raise a minimum $20 fundraising target to unlock video upload functionality to FISCA from where they can enter their video.
Money raised from initial $20 by those registered to a local club associated with the local member federation to be distributed to their local football club ($9.50), Capital Football ($9.50) and ASF ($1).
Any money raised after the initial $20 will be distributed to the local football club (75%), local member federation (10%), Capital Football (10%) and ASF (5%).
What do the participants need to do?
Participants will go to the website we are creating and sign up. During this process they select their local club to identify where their funds raised should be allocated. Once signed up they create videos in all or one of the competition areas:
- Goalkeeping – the best saves and action from our custodians
- Shooting – accuracy, power, technique, everything is on show in this category
- Passing – highlighting our talents range and accuracy of passing
- One v One – whether in defence or attack, a core skill to master
- Juggling – a chance to display your skills and tricks
The functionality to upload videos will be available through TikTok, YouTube and Facebook and will be linked to the fundraising platform where the public will be able to vote on videos and boost the rating, following a donation made.
There are five age Groups – 10 and under, 10-15, 16-18, 19-44, 45 and over (male and female category), and a custom leaderboard for each skill will rank individuals on the number of votes they receive, making this a truly interactive initiative.
The FISCA website will provide a set of challenge videos that have been developed by our coaching and technical staff to help you improve your skills.
Why should participants support FISCA?
