Missed the Women’s National Premier League Round 11? Here’s your wrap-up!
IN A NUTSHELL
The top two continued their relentless pursuit of the National Premier League title as Belconnen United hit Tuggeranong for eight, Hattie Cram scoring 50% of the Blue Devils goals, whilst Canberra Olympic halved the Belconnen score with four in their success over ANU WFC, Madelyn Whittall grabbing a trio of goals. Meanwhile, Croatia and Gunners shared the points in a 1-1 draw at Deakin Stadium.
GOAL OF THE WEEK
A superb equaliser from Ginger Oliver helped Gungahlin United to a draw at Deakin Stadium in a tight encounter with Canberra Croatia. Released by Natalie De Marco, Oliver cut inside her marker and thumped a drive from outside the area that arced over Ellie Summers with pace leaving the goalkeeper no chance.
PERFORMANCE OF THE WEEK
A four-goal haul comprising half of the total that your team compiles is a great feat and Hattie Cram did just that as Belconnen United romped to an 8-0 win over Tuggeranong United at McKellar Park. Three of the four goals came in the second-half to earn Cram the nod this week. By the way Alina Roberts went one better in the Reserves, netting five as the Blue Devils beat Tuggeranong 11-0.
