Belconnen United kept in touch with top spot on the ladder, with a comfortable 4-0 win over Majura FC.
Marija Rathouski got the Blue Devils off to the perfect start, finding the back of the net ten minutes into the match with a strike from the edge of the box. The visitors enjoyed the majority of possession the opening stanza, but could not find a second goal, with Majura defending resolutely.
Rathouski would grab a second early in the second half, getting on the end of a cut back pass from Eden Rodda, and slotting into the bottom corner.
Belconnen would get their third, with a long-range strike from Caitlin Koch finding the top corner. With the result all but sealed for the Blue Devils, Emily Tozer added a fourth with another long-range strike from the visitors.
Canberra Croatia cemented their spot inside the top four with a 3-0 win over Tuggeranong United at Kambah 201.
The visitors got off to a dream start, scoring the opener inside five minutes. Charging up the left, Emily Hazilias played a perfectly hit pass across goal for Nicole Zhao to tap home and open the scoring.
Despite being firmly in control of the match, it took Croatia until just after the 60 minute mark to find a second. Getting on the end of a long throw from Ava Williams, Ellie Raymond ghosted in at the back post to double Croatia’s lead.
The visitors sealed the result with Hannah Bourke heading the ball home from a corner, with four minutes remaining on the clock.
West Canberra Wanderers played out a six-goal thriller with Gungahlin United, with the visitors coming from two goals down to leave with a share of the points at Melrose Synthetic.
Caitlyn Skillicorn got Wanderers off to a dream start with two goals inside 15 minutes. Julian Robertson dispossessed Gungahlin centre back Ayla Robertson just inside the 18-yard box before laying off top Skillicorn, who hit a first-time strike over the head of the Gungahlin ‘keeper.
Skillicorn grabbed a second goal from range three minutes later, with Hannah Ferguson in goals getting a hand to it but unlucky not to keep it out.
Ella Hall pulled one back for Gungahlin in the 19th minute, finishing off a sweeping counterattack move to reduce the deficit.
Jessica Pearson levelled the scores for Gunners with a high quality strike from the edge of the box just before the hour mark.
Wanderers re-took the lead ten minutes later, as Sophie Couldrick capitalised on a loose pass to squeeze one past the keeper.
With only a minute of regular time remaining, Gunners found an equaliser as Pearson slammed home off a cutback pass for her second of the afternoon, and ensuring her side left Melrose with a point.
