Over fifty participants took the next step in their coaching pathway by completing the Capital Football C-Diploma course held recently at Hawker Football Centre. Hosted by Capital Football Technical Director Phil Booth, accompanied by Ali Efe, the course was a resounding success.
Efe, who is currently Head Coach of Tigers FC in the National Premier League, and Booth split the students into two groups taking time to be with both, due to the excellent numbers, with the course focusing on the aspects required for the new batch of coaches to get their licence.
The fifty-six coaches worked hard to achieve their qualifications and will now return to their respective clubs to pass on their knowledge as they seek to develop the next generation of footballers in Canberra and the surrounding region.
“There was a very good standard amongst the coaches in this particular cohort,” Capital Football Technical Director Phil Booth commented. “They all listened intently, took on board what was required, and produced some sterling work to pass the course and achieve their qualifications.
“I am looking forward to working with the next group to come in to get their C-Diploma when we run our next course in February 2025.”
