The Girls National Premier League competition reached its sixth round of action this weekend with matches across all three age grades showcasing some excellent talent in the region. We wrap all the details below.
NPL14
Goals from Sephora Fiori and Antonia Catanzariti in the second-half were enough for Canberra Olympic to secure a 2-0 win over West Canberra Wanderers in the Girls NPL14 competition at Melrose. Tuggeranong United secured the same result away to Gungahlin United, Tuggeranong scoring in each half through Milani Busic and Madeleine Kebblewhite, whilst Canberra Croatia went two better, netting four without response in their home win over Majura FC, Aisha El Ayadi bagging a second-half brace, Annabella Diamond and Stella Finn having done the damage in the first-half. On Saturday, Belconnen United proved too strong for BellaMonaro keeping up with the league leading Croatia by smashing in seven goals without reply.

NPL15
Gungahlin United claimed their first win of the season in the NPL15 Girls competition with a fine 3-0 success over Tuggeranong United at Harrison Playing Fields. Charlotte Vellar opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the first-half and added a second after the break with Elise Long completing the scoreline. Belconnen United made its six from six in this age grade, defeating BellaMonaro 11-0, Lily Cummings and Evie Youden both claiming a hat-trick, whilst substitute Amy Sephora scored two, the same as Amelie Moss whose double helped West Canberra Wanderers to a 3-0 win over Canberra Olympic. Meanwhile, Majura FC struck a 50th minute winner through Olivia Osborn as they claimed a 3-2 away win over Canberra Croatia, Majura having come from 1-0 down to lead through goals from Shae Dumesic and Sophia Boutzios before the winner.

NPL17
West Canberra Wanderers secured maximum points from their meeting with Canberra Olympic in the NPLG17 division, Elise Sotiropoulos and Allira Barsley scoring unfortunate own goals to help the Wanderers cause either side of Alexis Garrett’s goal. Zara Hall enjoyed herself against Tuggeranong United, netting four of her team’s eight goals in their 8-1 success, Mackenna Dorsett adding two to the scoresheet for Gunners, while over at South Jerrabomberra, Siena D’Ambrosio managed six goals, including four in succession later on as Belconnen United thrashed BellaMonaro 20-0. Samantha Shea added five of her own, and there was a double for Elfin Mokany in the big win. At Deakin Stadium Olivia Martiniello scored twice for Majura FC as they defeated Canberra Croatia 6-0. Elianne Lum, Arianna Kashan, Grace Fenson and Maggie Wright had the other Majura goals.
