The poor weather across Canberra during the week played havoc with the National Premier League Boys fixture list with many matches postponed, however there were games take took place, and we wrap up the latest action in those matches across the four age grades.
NPL14
Early goals from Lennox De Moura and Hilary Pius inside the opening twenty minutes proved enough for Monaro Panthers to earn a 2-0 victory over Canberra Olympic at South Jerrabomberra Regional Sports Complex in the NPL14 competition. Over in the Riverina at Rawlings Park the honours were even in the battle of the Wanderers as Wagga City and West Canberra drew 1-1. Isaac Carroll opened the scoring for the hosts with Chang Keun Kim levelling for the visitors. Meanwhile, O’Connor Knights were ruthless in their 9-0 home win over Majura FC, Lachlan Bogaart and Drish Jain scoring two apiece in the victory. On Sunday morning, Tigers FC continued their hunt for finals football with a 7-1 thrashing of Woden Valley at Nicholls Synthetic, whilst Belconnen United eased past Radford College 4-2 at the school grounds. Wet weather meant the following fixtures were postponed: Canberra Croatia v Tuggeranong United, and Brindabella Blues v Gungahlin United.

Chanhee Lee was on target twice for Canberra Olympic in the NPL15 Boys competition as the away team recorded a 5-2 success over Monaro Panthers at South Jerrabomberra Regional Sports Complex. Wagga City Wanderers took the points with a 3-1 success over West Canberra Wanderers, and O’Connor Knights thrashed Majura FC 7-0 with two goals each for Sebastijan Peric ad Luca Staltari, all the goals coming after the break. Anas Elsergany had opened the scoring, with Lachlan Bogaart and Deyarmi Ganas also on the scoresheet. On Sunday, Belconnen United eased their way past Radford College claiming a 5-0 victory, a scoreline enhanced by a hat-trick from Lucas Carbonell plus goals from Tallan Evatt and Dion Makuwira. Over at Nicholls Synthetic meanwhile, a brace from Alessandro Agnello and a goal from Henry Shoring helped Tigers FC to a morale-boosting 3-0 win over Woden Valley. There was limited action the NPL16 Boys competition with the only Saturday match seeing Wagga City Wanderers hammer West Canberra Wanderers 8-1 at Rawlings Park. A second minute penalty from Antonio Torino set the scene, before William Johns scored the first of his four goals, a hat-trick which he completed by half-time. Jensen Byron pulled one back for West Canberra, but a brace from Beau Wikitera and one from Jackson Myers completed the rout. On Sunday, Belconnen United, led by a brace from Neil Sidhu, record a comfortable 5-1 away win over Radford College for who Seth Carmody pulled a goal back late on, whilst Mohammad Tse and Samson Scarano both scored twice as Tigers FC claimed a 6-0 home victory over Woden Valley in a match played at Nicholls Synthetic. Wagga City Wanderers were in emphatic form in the NPL18 Boys competition as they swamped their visitors West Canberra Wanderers with a 6-0 scoreline at Gissing Oval. Finlay Jenkins opened the scoring in the first half, and more goals followed from Lucas Woodham, Callan Schwarz, Isaac Brown and an Ondrej Busek own goal. Vaughn Jenkins became the sixth different scorer later on. At South Jerrabomberra Regional Sporting Complex, a first-half brace from Cooper Tomlin helped Canberra Olympic to a 3-0 victory over Monaro Panthers, Fletcher Maconachie adding the third from the penalty spot in the second-half. On Sunday, Rhys Priestley scored four of Belconnen United’s eight in their win at Radford College, and Tigers FC also scored eight in beating Woden Valley, Zachary Colson leading the way with a hat-trick, Cody Weinhardt bagging two.
