The annual Woden Valley Lightning Tournament will take place this weekend, 15 and 16 April, at Mawson Playing Fields. A Woden Valley Soccer Club initiative, the tournament will welcome 62 teams for the 2023 edition.

Endorsed by Capital Football, with tournament proceeds supporting the Woden Valley Soccer Club, the competition allows local club sides to fine tune their approach ahead of the Project Coordination Junior League kick-off on Saturday 22 April across Canberra and the surrounding region.

Fielding competitive tournaments at U8-9, U10-12, U13 and U14-16, the Woden Valley Lightning Tournament has always held an important part in the build-up to the new season.
