Following the 2019 Annual General Meeting of the ACT Football Federation and election of two new directors, the Capital Football Board reviewed its skills, competency and gender representation. In doing so the Board identified two key areas of focus when recruiting new directors, being financial management and business acumen.
The Board acknowledges the inherent benefits that come with a balance of female and male directors, and believe it is absolutely appropriate that the Board guiding the direction of the sport is reflective of the stakeholders it represents.
The Board is committed to achieving parity of gender representation. With four of six elected directors being male, the Board acknowledge that any appointed director would need to be female in order for the gender representation goals to be met.
As such, Capital Football invites expressions of interest from females that have the requisite skills and experience, including;
- A desire to positively contribute to the development of football and futsal in the ACT and surrounding region
- Demonstrable business acumen
- Qualifications and professional experience in financial management
- Embodiment of the core attributes of integrity, good communicator, team player, contributor, leader, critical and innovative thinker
Expressions of interest and a supporting curriculum vitae can be emailed care of the Capital Football CEO. Any questions regarding the opportunity can also be directed to the CEO in writing to;
