The ACT Government has today announced the decision to pause the move to Stage 3 easing of restrictions, which was due to happen from midday this Friday (10 July).
This action is being taken in light of the COVID-19 outbreak in Victoria and the four new cases in the ACT.
Stage 2.2 of Canberra’s Recovery Plan remains in place, with another checkpoint regarding community sport competitions to be conducted by the ACT Government in one week’s time.
For Capital Football, this means;
- Contact training, intra club training matches, and intra club U5-U9 MiniRoos matches are still permitted under Stage 2.2. of Canberra’s Recovery Plan
- Trial matches between clubs in the ACT cannot be played
Capital Football will hold a meeting with club presidents this Friday evening (10 July) to discuss planning ahead of the next ACT Government checkpoint where it will consider the eased restrictions and resumption of football competitions.
