Tigers FC will represent the ACT & surrounding region in the 2019 FFA Cup Round of 32, set to take on Hume City in a blockbuster July clash at Deakin Stadium.
Gaby Wilk’s side won through in the Federation Cup Final at the same venue, with a goalless stalemate after 120 minutes decided in a thrilling penalty shootout on a dramatic night interrupted by heavy fog and highlighted by some incredible goalkeeping from Sam Brown and Jakob Cole.
On the 26th June, following their exciting win, they were drawn as hosts against NPL Victoria powerhouse Hume City who currently sit equal fourth in their domestic competition.
City have seen off Mill Park Soccer Club, completed a stunning comeback against Heidelberg United and then knocked off Bentleigh Greens and Oakleigh Cannons, the latter in a penalty shootout too, to qualify for this stage.
Tigers will look to continue a rich Canberra history in the FFA Cup, but will want to go further than the Round of 32 where both Canberra Olympic and Canberra FC where knocked out respectively in 2017 & 2018.
Prior to that though Olympic made that dream run to the semi-finals and a monster match up with Sydney FC at Viking Park in 2016, while Tuggeranong United hosted Melbourne Victory at the same venue in 2014 and Gungahlin United were eliminated in the 2015 round of 32 by Sydney Olympic.
Tickets for the game will be for sale at the gate at Deakin Stadium. Adults: $10 Children/Concession: $5
