The final round of action for a week, as the 2025 Kanga Cup takes centre-stage, saw some top quality performances across the region as fixtures took place in all three age-groups in the National Premier League Girls competition.

Canberra Olympic were in food form at South Jerrabomberra Regional Sporting Complex on Saturday morning as they hit seven goals without reply in their victory over BellaMonaro. Sephora Fiori and Amelia Rice scored two goals each in the win. On Sunday, Majura FC upset the applecart with a deserved 2-1 away win over Belconnen United, Canberra Croatia and Tuggeranong United ended the ninety minutes deadlocked at 0-0, and Elizabeth Roy scored twice for West Canberra Wanderers as they eased past Gungahlin United 4-0, Leila Evans and Latifa Tabbouche adding the other goals.

Faria Pasha was the goalscoring star of the show for Canberra Olympic NPL15 team as the hot-shot scored four times as Canberra Olympic won 6-1 on their trip to play BellaMonaro at South Jerrabomberra Regional Sporting Complex on a cold weekend morning. Twenty-four hours later, it was West Canberra Wanderers netting four, with Grace O’Halloran, Amelie Moss, Ainslie Griffiths, and Ava Tran all finding the net in their win over Gungahlin United. Evie Youden and Amt Sephora both scored for Belconnen United, but it wasn’t enough to secure a win over Majura FC as Ruby Selkirk and Olivia Rushton scored between the Blue Devils goals to earn a 2-2 draw. In the other match played on the weekend, Canberra Croatia defeated Tuggeranong United 3-1.

A shortened fixture list in the NPL17 competition saw just two matches take place on Sunday afternoon, the first of which saw goals from Samantha Shea and Holly Conlon earn table-topping Belconnen United a narrow 2-1 win over Majura FC at Kaleen Enclosed. Arianna Kashan pulled one back for the visitors who couldn’t quite force the leveller. Over at Deakin Stadium, Canberra Croatia were too strong for Tuggeranong United, claiming a comfortable 7-2 home victory. The matches between West Canberra Wanderers and Gungahlin United, and Canberra Olympic’s visit to take on BellaMonaro were postponed due to the Emerging Matildas Championship being held in Sydney this week.
