The first round of NPLW and a Super Sunday of FFA Cup matches saw more than 72,000 minutes of Canberra Football watched online as BarTV Sports streamed the games to more eyes than ever before.
With five big FFA Cup ties and three National Premier Leagues Women’s matches broadcast across Youtube and Facebook, the eyes of the world watched with strong crowds as the 2019 season really got moving.
Capital Football’s new streaming deal announced at the 2019 NPL launch two weeks ago will see every NPL1, NPL1 20’s, NPLW, FFA Cup and Women’s Federation Cup matches streamed live through broadcast partner BarTV Sports.
Sunday’s FFA Cup Round 4 clash between Tigers FC & Monaro Panthers rated well on Youtube, watched for almost 11,000 minutes as Mark Shields’ early goal helped Tigers progress to the Preliminary Round quarter-finals.
The live action will continue tonight in the FFA Cup as Gungahlin United meet UC Pumas in their Round 4 match, kicking off at 7pm.
