The wet weather held say for most of the scheduled Round 20 fixtures in the National Premier League Boys competitions, but some matches did withstand the inclement conditions to take place. Here we take a look at what happened across the past week in the respective age divisions.
NPL14
In a weekend washed out by the weather, all Saturday matches were postponed in the National Premier League U14 competition. On Sunday, a hat-trick from Lucas Young helped Canberra Croatia to a handsome 9-1 away victory over Radford College, Ryan Arrouk adding a brace to the scoreline for the visitors. Harrison Costin, Lima Charlton, Henry Spiller, and Albert Mackintosh were the others to get a goal. At Nicholls Synthetic O’Connor Knights continued their pursuit for top spot as they defeated Belconnen United 5-1. Elsewhere, Canberra Olympic were too strong for Tuggeranong United, claiming a 4-0 away victory.

There were two games in midweek, a brace from Lucas Laing, and a goal from Dylan Bates leading Tigers FC to a 3-0 win over Radford College, whilst Belconnen United were 4-2 victors on their visit to Stryda Park to take on Monaro Panthers. There were matches on Sunday, Radford College no match for Canberra Croatia as Jacob Pratezina, Cooper San Juan, Cooper Wykes, Elijah Birrell, and Albert Macintosh scored in a 5-0 win in a match played at Yarralumla, whilst Tuggeranong United and Canberra Olympic drew 1-1 at Hawker Football Centre.

Jonathan Koffina enjoyed a great night in front of goal with four strikes as Canberra Olympic raided Stryda Park with a 6-0 win over Monaro Panthers during Kanga Cup week in the Capital. Adam Przydacz and Benjamin Booth scored early, before Koffina’s scoring spree. The following week, Brindabella Blues also won in midweek as they defeated Gungahlin United 2-0 through goals from Elwin Milolo and Lachie Fitzsimmons. Of the few games to survive the weather on Saturday, Wagga City Wanderers defeated Monaro Panthers 4-2, with four different scorers on target at South Jerrabomberra Regional Sporting Complex. Meanwhile, Majura FC were winners by the odd-goal in five as they overcame Woden Valley 3-2 at Dickson. Gungahlin United were the big winners as they took West Canberra Wanderers apart at Nichols Synthetic, winning 15-0, Omar Hamid netted four, and there was a hat-trick for Maxwell Agbonzikilo. Canberra Olympic claimed an away win of their own, seeing off Tuggeranong United with a 6-1 success over Tuggeranong United at Hawker Football Centre.

Seven different players were on target as Tigers FC closed the gap on Belconnen United at the top of the table to a single point during Kanga Cup week, as Tigers defeated Radford College 7-2. Belconnen United meanwhile romped to a 5-0 away win over Monaro Panthers as Jonah Briggs netted twice at Stryda Park, while on Wednesday Tigers FC were far too strong for West Canberra Wanderers, winning 14-0 with Carter Connell, Ethan Penton, Tyler Andreatta, and Daniel Poole scoring two apiece. Gungahlin United were winners too, scoring a 2-0 win over Brindabella Blues through goals from Mathiang Yony, and Noah Hewitt. Monaro Panthers suffered a chastening home defeat to Wagga City Wanderers, Finlay Jenkins scoring a hat-trick at South Jerrabomberra as the visitors won 7-1. Majura FC went goa crazy as they scored ten in a big win over Woden Valley, while Gungahlin United were 3-0 winners over West Canberra Wanderers via forfeit. Noah Souverain netted a hat-trick as Canberra Croatia defeated Radford College 4-1 away from home, whilst the match between Canberra Olympic and Tuggeranong United ended in a 1-1 draw, Mason Fardell scoring for Olympic before Malakai Young levelled for United.
