Our Capital Chemist Volunteer of the Month Award, for August 2024, goes to TONI AND BRIAN WATTS from Wagga City Wanderers.
Toni and Brian have been running the canteen at Wagga City Wanderers home games for several years, spending countless hours a week preparing and serving high quality food for those attending matches at Gissing Oval.
“Every Friday, they can be found at Gissing Oval preparing for the local and visiting team,” said nominee Tim Cooper.
“Toni ensures that the facilities are ready and takes pride in the delivery of a post-match tray of food for the visiting first grade side.”
Even though their children have left the club, Toni and Brian have continued to volunteer their time to helping out the club, with their grandchildren having recently joined the clubs SAP program.
“They’re quality people of our community, we are so lucky to have to such amazing volunteers who help fuel our football community.”
