PENNY TROY (TIGERS FC) & GAVIN HOPMAN (GUNGAHLIN UNITED)
Penny works very hard managing both the Tigers u23s and u18s. whilst Gavin is in his 13th year as a qualified referee Level 4 and has been the Gungahlin United Club Referee Coordinator since 2016.
PENNY TROY (TIGERS FC)
Penny works very hard managing both the Tigers u23s and u18s. Every weekend she attends to all the administrative issues for each team making the game day experience for all the participants the most enjoyable it can be. Penny never complains and has a warm and welcoming disposition making her extremely popular among all that have the pleasure of coming into contact with her. Penny is extremely dedicated to her tasks making her very deserving of this prestigious award.
GAVIN HOPMAN (GUNGAHLIN UNITED)
Gavin is in his 13th year as a qualified referee Level 4 and has been the Gungahlin United Club Referee Coordinator since 2016. He’s been living in Gungahlin since 2000 with all three of his kids playing for the club. He started off with Gungahlin by coaching his kids’ teams before beginning his “other career” as a referee solely based at Gungahlin since 2009. Gavin arrives at Harrison Fields every Saturday morning, and not only gets ready to help coach and coordinate his Game Leaders, but he has also taken on the role of game day manager, by helping ensure our MiniRoos and Juniors all have fields assigned to their matches, organising the printed fixture for the clubhouse, and spending his day helping people find their fields and supporting his refs, which he starts doing many days before game day.
