Capital Football are pleased to announce that they have appointed Tim Davies as the new goalkeeping coach for the Capital Football Boy’s Talented Sports Program (TSP).
Tim Davies is a highly qualified goalkeeping coach who holds a Football Australia B-Licence. Formerly a goalkeeper coach with Canberra United in the Westfield W-League, now the Liberty A-League, Davies has also been involved with the Canberra United Academy, Capital Football NTC and ACTAS.
“We are delighted to welcome Tim to the Capital Football TSP as our new goalkeeping coach,” Technical Director Phil Booth said of the appointment.
“Tim is a highly qualified goalkeeper coach and has worked in elite level environments before so is a solid choice to help with the specialised coaching required for this position.
“We are looking forward to working with him.”
Davies was part of Tuggeranong United and Woden-Weston Wanderers National Premier League set-up, coaching the club’s goalkeepers across all grades.
As well as his B-Licence, Davies is an AFC Football Federation Australia Level 3 Goalkeeping Coach Candidate, is a Football Federation Australia Level 1 Course instructor and Assessor and was part of the AFC Goalkeeping Coaching Tutors Course held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
As a player Davies represented the ACT Rockets, the senior men’s representative team in the region, and played in the forerunner of the National Premier League, the ACT Premier League, for Tuggeranong United.
