Due to the ongoing wet weather, ACT Government turf sportsgrounds are closed for training and match play today.
The decision has been made to keep them closed for the weekend, Saturday 4th, and Sunday 5th July for both training and matchplay.
Community (Junior, Senior, SAP) competitions
All Junior, Senior and SAP fixtures have been deemed washout/cancelled and will not be rescheduled. Capital Football will update this weekend’s fixtures in Dribl by COB Today.
NPL competitions
All NPL fixtures will be reviewed and moved to synthetic fields where possible. Any NPL fixtures that cannot be relocated will be assessed as a washout/postponed.
Bookings at Melrose synthetic (Pearce 2) and Nicholls are closed for training, but open for matchplay. There is an exception for the Hookin2 Hockey program – they can retain their Nicholls and Melrose booking until 10.00 am tomorrow (Saturday).
Woden Park (synthetic athletics track) bookings are unaffected by this closure announcement.

NPL fixtures scheduled in Queanbeyan will be assessed by Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council (QPRC) by 2pm today, with further communication to follow.
