Day Two of the 2026 Mitre National Futsal Championships saw the tournament gather momentum at the Gold Coast Sports and Leisure Centre, with teams beginning to separate themselves as the race for Finals qualification intensified across all age groups.
With a doubleheader on the cards, the Open Women’s started the day taking on Football Queensland, falling to the host state 6-1. Backing up that afternoon for their third game of the tournament, the side took on Football Victoria and kept themselves with a chance of playing finals with a 5-2 win.
The Under 15 Boy’s faced off against Football Queensland, battling out for top spot in Pool A. The result didn’t fall their way, going down 5-2, and the team now prepares to take on Football Victoria to secure second on the ladder.
After having no games on Day One, due to the bye round, the Under 14 Boy’s took to the court for the first time against a strong Football West side, falling 8-0. The side bounced back with a strong win in their second game, comfortably dispatching Football NSW Country 9-4.
After their opening day win, the Under 13 Boy’s secured a top two spot in Pool B, after beating host state Football Queensland 4-1. They take on Football Victoria in their final pools game, with the aim to secure top spot in Pool B.
After a strong opening day, the Under 12 Boy’s had a mammoth task ahead of them, taking on Football West and Football NSW Thunder. The team gave their all against some high-quality oppositions but unfortunately, could not come away with the points, going down 8-2 and 4-6.
