Day 3 of the 2026 Mitre National Futsal Championships delivered fast-paced action, clutch moments and standout performances across the tournament as some sides cemented their status as frontrunners while others recorded their first three points in a memorable day of on-court action featuring 482 goals in 66 games.
The Open Women’s team fell to defeat against the undefeated Football NSW Thunder side in a five goal thriller, the final score 2-3. The side currently sits fourth on the ladder, with their final match against Football West crucial for securing a spot in the finals, and the chance to defend their 2025 title.
Despite falling to defeat 2-4 at the hands of a strong Football Victoria side, the Under 15 Boy’s secured their spot in the Quarter Finals. The side will face an unbeaten Football West side for a chance to play in the Semi-Finals.
The Under 14 Boy’s were unable to secure the points against a strong Football Queensland Silver side, going down 5-3. With one more group stage game to go, against Football Victoria, the team only needs to avoid defeat to secure their spot in the quarter finals.
Finishing the group stage unbeaten, the Under 13 Boy’s enjoyed a dominant performance over Football Victoria, winning 11-4 in their final group game. The team will take on Northern NSW for s pot in the semi-finals.
The Under 12 Boy’s had a successful day with two wins from two. First up was a big win over Football NSW Country by nine goals, 2-11. The team followed that up with a five goal win over Football Victoria White, winning 7-2.
