Capital Football’s representative teams at the National Futsal Championships continued their campaigns at the States Netball and Hockey Centre in Melbourne.
The Under 12 Boys Gold side continued their incredible start to the tournament with another two wins, to make them four wins from four to start the week. The team started the day with a nine-goal thriller against Football Victoria, winning 5-4. They Followed that up with a comprehensive 5-1 win over Football Queensland White, to top their pool ahead of Day Three. Mounir Jbieli has been on fire to star the tournament, with nine goals to his name already.
The Under 12 Boys Blue team had a double header for Day Two, with a win and a loss to their name. Falling to a 7-2 loss against Football NSW Lightning, the side quickly bounced back with a strong 6-1 win over Football NSW Country. Brendan Chapman and Cooper Newick lead the charge with three goals apiece
The Under 13 Boys squad suffered a second defeat in a tight affair against Football Victoria Navy. With the scores looked at half-time, the Victorians ran away with the game in the second half with score ending 6-2. Miro Vidler-Wilkinson scored both goals in the match.
Following a bye round on Day One, the Under 14 Boys had a win and a loss in their first two matches for the tournament. Starting with a dominant performance over Northern NSW , the side won 9-1 to kickoff their NFC25 campaign. They faced Competition eladers Football Queensland in their second match, going down in a 6-1 loss. Ellijah Birrell leads the scoring with four to his name.
The Open Men squad fell to a second defeat, going down to a professional Football West side. With five different players on the scoresheet, the Open Men side fell to a 10-6 defeat. They face Football Victoria Tigers on Day Three to continue their tournament.
