Capital Football’s representative teams kicked off their 2025 National Futsal Championships campaign at the State Netball and Hockey Centre in Parkville, Melbourne, with two wins and three losses from the ACT teams.
The Under 12 Boys Gold team got off to a dream start, with two wins from two to start the tournament. They started the day with an 11-goal thriller against Football South Australia, running out 7-4 winners, and finished the day with a dominant 10-0 win over Football Tasmania.
The Under 12 Boys Blue team began their tournament against Football West. In a tough encounter, the side went down fighting 2-1.
The Under 13 Boys side went down to a strong Football NSW Thunder side, tipped to take out the title, 13-0.
The Open Men squad rounded out the day with a spirited performance to competition heavyweights Football NSW Lightning, going down 6-3.
The Under 14 Boys had the bye round on Day one, and will start their campaign on Day two against Northern NSW.
