North Canberra Untouchables Navy took bragging rights from the Round Six Untouchables derby , thanks in large part to a Michael Sydney hat-trick. Cameron Gordon got Navy off to the perfect start with a goal in the first minute, before Aidan Brown doubled the advantage after 10 minutes and Sydney nabbed his first five minutes before the break.
Ryan Tredinnick scored for Untouchables Red just a minute into the second half to give them a fighting chance, but Brown completed his brace just a minute later to push the lead back to three goals. The goals continued to pour in from there, as Sydney grabbed his second in the 25th minute and Elijah Chacos scored for Red with 12 minutes left. Sydney finished off his hat-trick with just a minute left after Victor Yanes scored for Navy in the 26th minute to help round off the scoreline.
Boomerangs White 2 (Anthony Giorgi 7′, Ben Basser-Silk 19′) drew. Timberwolves FC 2 (Thomas Cosentini 16′, Own Goal 31′)
A late own goal from Ben Basser-Silk helped Timberwolves to sneak a draw against Boomerangs White in Round Six of the Men’s Futsal Premier League. Anthony Giorgi opened the scoring for Boomerangs after just nine minutes after both sides had plenty of shots early. Thomas Cosentini equalised just four minutes before the break for Timberwolves and just as it looked like there would be parity at the break, Basser-Silk netted in the final minute of the half to give his side the lead back.
The second half was an even affair as both sides traded efforts at goal, but it was an own goal from Basser-Silk with nine minutes to go that restored the scoreline to level for the Timberwolves. The final nine minutes contained chances for both sides, but neither were able to strike the decisive blow.
O’Connor Knights 2 (Kynan Dodd 2′, Josip Jadric 32′) def. by Boomerangs FS 5 (Robert McKay 22′, Jayde James-Ward 32′, 35′, 37′, Takuto Kojima 37′)
A blitzkrieg final 10 minutes from Boomerangs saw them claim a 5-2 win over O’Connor Knights in a heated Round Six clash.
Kynan Dodd put Knights on the board after just two minutes and they held the lead well, but a heated period saw a number of Knights players receive Yellow cards, and Bradley Olivera was given his marching orders. The Knights retained a 1-0 lead at the break, but the game unravelled for them in the second half.
Robert McKay scored two minutes into the second stanza, and Jayde James-Ward put Boomerangs ahead 10 minutes later. Josip Jadric pulled Knights level before anyone could blink, but two more goals from James-Ward in the next five minutes combined with a goal from Takuto Kojima saw Boomerangs blow them out of the water in the final period to record a 5-2 win.
