Boomerangs FS 2 (Jayde James-Ward 34′, Dylan Aitolu 39′) def. by Canberra Olympic Superprawns 3 (Pat Ross-Magee 9′, Jeremy Habtemariam 12′, Goran Josifovski 35′)
The Superprawns picked up their second win of the season despite a late comeback from Boomerangs in the second half. Pat Ross-Magee and Jeremy Habtemariam scored early goals to give Olympic a two-goal buffer, and that remained the difference at the half. Jayde James-Ward pulled Boomerangs back into the game with six minutes to go, but Goran Josifovski responded almost immediately to restore the two-goal advantage before Dylan Aitolu cut it back to one at the death.
Boomerangs FS White 5 (Andrew Noack 10′, 39′, Anthony Giorgi 19′, 21′, Nicholas Rathjen 24′) def. Boomerangs FS Blue 2 (Daniel Giovinazzo 20′, Brad Sawyer 22′)
Braces from Andrew Noack and Anthony Giorgi helped Boomerangs White to a 5-2 win over Boomerangs Blue in Round 3. Noack opened the scoring after 10 minutes before Giorgi scored his first just before the half. Daniel Giovinazzo pulled one back though to halve the deficit on the stroke of half-time, but Giorgi scored straight away on the other side to extend the lead, and Brad Sawyer then pulled it back a minute later. Nick Rathjen continued the flurry of goals as he pushed the score out to 4-2 with just over 15 minutes left, and Noack put on the finishing touches in the final minutes to seal the scoreline.
HNK O’Connor Knights 3 (Danny Krajacic 12′, Brandon Hawker 27′, 37′) def. by NCU Untouchables Red 5 (Elijah Chacos 9′, Michael Southam 11′, 24, Benjamin Rolfe 13′, Michael Knee 23′)
A first-half blitz from NCU Untouchables Red saw them claim a convincing 5-3 win over the O’Connor Knights in Round 3. Elijah Chacos scored first for Untouchables before Michael Southam doubled the lead after 11 minutes. Danny Krajacic hit back for Knights only to see Benjamin Rolfe score almost immediately to keep the gap at two, and the scoreline stayed 3-1 at the break. But Michael Knee scored and South grabbed his second within four minutes of the restart to put Untouchables well in control. A late brace from Brandon Hawker restored some credibility to the scoreline for Knights but they could not find any extra goals as they fell 5-3.
Timberwolves FC 2 (Tom Cosentini 22′, Ben Harrington 39′) def. NCU Untouchables Navy 1 (Aidan Brown 36′)
A late winner from Ben Harrington gave Timberwolves a 2-1 win over Untouchables Navy in Round 3. A quiet first half saw a goalless scoreline at the break, as both sides probed for an opening. Tom Cosentini got Timberwolves on the board and in the lead, and it looked like that goal might take them to all the way to the end. Aidan Brown scored with four minutes left to give Untouchables parity though, and Ben Harrington stepped up to spoil the party as he scored in the final minutes to win the game for Timberwolves.
