Boomerangs FS White recorded a second win in a row as they knocked off another top side with a 1-0 win over Belconnen United. After defeating Canberra Olympic Superprawns last week, Boomerangs FS White appeared to have found their groove and a goal from Brett Forward proved the winner. Belconnen saw leading scorer Taylor Beaton dismissed for two yellow card offences.
Boomerangs FS Blue continue to lead the way at the top of the ladder having recorded their fifth win of the season with a 6-3 win over Woden-Weston Timberwolves. Nicholas Rathjen led the way for the Boomerangs team with a hat-trick whilst Brandon Hawker, Lachlan Riddell and Michael Rinaudo all scored, the latter moving onto seven goals for the season. Sam Carters, Steven Zardo and Thiago Cabral De Carvalho responded for the Timberwolves.
Pre-season favourites Canberra Olympic Superprawns rediscovered their winning habit as they saw off NC Untouchables Navy 3-1. It took until the 25th minute for them to make the breakthrough though as Pat Ross-Magee scored. Two goals in two minutes from Ryan Keir and Goran Josifovski put the result beyond doubt rendering a last minute riposte by Michael Sydney as redundant.
NC Untouchables Navy had earlier earned two-points from their Round 4 clash with Boomerangs FS Youth which ended 2-2. All the goals came in the opening half as Richard Moon (Nay) and Jayde James-Ward (Youth) exchanged blows in the fifth minute. Nicholas Dahl put Boomerangs FS Youth in front two minutes later only for Aidan Brown to level matters again in the 14th minute.
Boomerangs FS Youth couldn’t quite replicate that performance in a 3-2 loss to NC Untouchables Red. Ryan Tredinnick gave the NC Untouchables Red the lead in the 10th minute only for Jayde-Ward to equalise for Boomerangs FS Youth. Goals from Sengmany Sanoubane and Matthew Corey put Untouchables into a 3-1 lead and, despite a goal from Grant Barlow with nine minutes to play, Boomerangs Youth could not find an equaliser.
