Capital Football is pleased to announce our Men’s and Women’s squads set to take part in the inaugural Northern NSW Football (NNSWF) All-Stars Challenge next month. 

The competition will see our sides represent the capital across two matches at Lake Macquarie Regional Football Facility in the Hunter, with the Women’s kicking off at 2pm, and the Men’s at 4pm on 10 October. 

The selection process for the Men’s side saw Capital Football conduct two trials to refine the 32-man extended squad to an 18-strong outfit, set to be led by coaches Ali Efe, Mitch Stevens and Troy Boots. 

Of those 32, five players contacted Capital Football to rule themselves out of contention, and one due to an opportunity to play in the Australia Championship. Otherwise three players were ruled out through injuries while six players made no contact and did not take part in the trials. 

 

The below squad has been selected to take on the NNSW Men’s Allstar’s:

Through trials for the Women’s side, the initial 26-player squad was reduced to 18 for Scott Conlon, Victor Yanes and Troy Boots’ outfit ready to take on Northern NSW’s best in October.  

Twenty-eight were invited to trial for selection, and four players made themselves unavailable for selection. Two players made no contact, leaving 22 to compete for a spot on the bus, leaving the following final 18:
