Canberra FC will tonight meet Broadmeadow Magic in the FFA Cup Round of 32 at Deakin Stadium in a blockbuster clash.
The matchup will be one of six on the first night of FFA Cup action for 2018, and is Canberra FC’s first foray into the Round of 32.
The Canberra side are sitting first in the NPL Capital Football despite a loss to Tigers FC on the weekend, one point ahead of Canberra Olympic and with an excellent goal differential of 27.
Broadmeadow meanwhile are third after a big 5-0 win on the weekend but are just four points behind leaders Edgeworth FC and are the top scoring side in the local competition.

Key Players |
For Canberra FC, the likes of Thomas James and Kofi Danning will be keeping Broadmeadow busy at the back, with both of them enjoying sensational seasons so far. Elsewhere, Ian Graham will be important in the middle of the park and Mat Grbesa’s experience and skill in the backline is likely to be called upon against a tough Broadmeadow side.
For the visitors, former Newcastle Jets forward James Virgili is a proven goalscorer and currently leads the NNSWF NPL Golden Boot race on 14 goals, while teammate Kale Bradbery is only two goals behind. Broadmeadow are proven across the park though and with Hyundai A-League experience in the ranks, as with Danning for Canberra FC, will prove a tough opponent.
