Football can play a role in bringing communities together, having a positive social and cultural impact, providing positive role models and increase awareness and connections between community organisations and football community- it can help build more inclusive, healthier, happier, and safer communities.
It is good practice for clubs to acknowledge and promote dates of significance where possible within their community events and match days to help reach a greater cross-section of the community.

Capital Football Proudly Supports ‘Sport Your Pride’: Join Us in Celebrating Pride in Sport!
Sport Your Pride is a queer sports festival as part of SpringOUT, from 14-16 November.
The non-profit organisation Pride Movement is aiming to improve inclusion and visibility ahead of SpringOUT in November, Canberra’s Pride Month. Pride Movement brings together sports codes across the ACT to empower and encourage LGBT+ people in sports by raising visibility and advocating for emerging groups.
