The 2022 Club Champions have been decided and there is a definite blue tinge to the victors with perennial champions ANU FC claiming four of the nine National Premier League/Senior titles on offer, whilst Canberra Olympic snagged three.
The University outfit, who field teams across every division such is the strength and depth of the club, were named Capital Premier League Men’s Club Champions as well as taking out a trio of honours in State League and Masters.
In addition to their CPL triumph, ANU were crowned Club Champions in Senior League Men and Masters Men whilst also scooping the gong for Women’s State League/Masters.
Canberra Olympic’s treble consisted of success in the National Premier League Women’s competitions, plus the double at age grade level, claiming the honours in both the NPL Boys and NPL Girls sections.
The top honour in Men’s National Premier League went to Monaro Panthers after their excellent season in the senior men’s grade, finishing third, with their U23 counterparts coming second in their competition.
In Capital Premier League Boys, it was O’Connor Knights who emerged as top club, putting in a series of dominating and consistent performances across all age grades in the junior CPL divisions.
