Capital Football is pleased to declare the Leagues for the NPL Women’s and Girls, and Men’s and Boys’ competitions for 2026.
The declaration of the leagues outlines the clubs that are eligible for participation based on performance. In addition, all clubs are required to meet the established Capital Football club licensing criteria.
Capital Football management and its Board of Directors are currently reviewing all submissions received from clubs and will be communicating with clubs in due course.
Should a club fail to meet the licensing criteria, it will not retain a position in the respective competition.
Section 1: NATIONAL PREMIER LEAGUE MENS and CAPITAL LEAGUE OPENS
Promoted from CPL Men’s into NPL Men’s –

- The next highest positioned club is UC Stars. Capital Football recommend that 2nd position is not offered a place in the NPL Women in 2026 and the competition is a 7-club competition.

- Gungahlin United are required to respond to existing issues already raised by CF separately as part of an ongoing compliance requirement.
- Tuggeranong United is required to demonstrate its capacity towards ensuring player sustainability throughout the 2026 season.
