Our Capital Chemist Volunteer of the Month Award, for June 2024, goes to FINTAN O’LAIGHIN from South Canberra FC.
Fintan can often be seen at South Canberra games, often doing a variety of roles.
If he isn’t watching a game, Fintan can be seen running the lines, filling as a referee, helping to pack up fields and put away equipment. He will often walk player’s dogs as well during the game!
Nominee Juliana Lazzari said that Fintan “always supports the canteen by buying something, and most importantly in terms of civic responsibility, always picks up any rubbish at the grounds we play at. He is passionate about ensuring community soccer is supported.
