Caltex Socceroos Head Coach Graham Arnold today announced his squad for October’s FIFA window, which includes Australia’s joint FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ and AFC Asian Cup China 2023™ Qualification match against Nepal at GIO Stadium on Thursday, 10th October.
Canberra-born star Tom Rogic will miss out on the chance to play in front of his home crowd, as he continues to work his way back to full fitness following a run of injuries.
Defender Trent Sainsbury, who is managing a minor injury, is also absent from the squad, while experienced Bristol City defender Bailey Wright will return to Arnold’s roster.
Mark Milligan will also return as captain of the squad, after he was withdrawn from Australia’s team in September due to a minor leg injury.
The Socceroos 23-player squad will convene in Canberra from Monday, 7th October, and will host a fan meet and greet day that afternoon at Deakin Stadium from 4:00pm to 6:00pm.
The free event will include a signing session, a photo booth and a range of fun activities for kids.
Tickets for next Thursday’s match between Australia and Nepal are available to purchase here.
If you can’t make it to the big game, the fixture will be broadcast live on FOX SPORTS, ABC TV, Kayo Sports, and via the My Football Live App – Live, Fast and Data Free for Telstra mobile customers.
