Capital Football is pleased to announce the dates for the Level 4 Referee and Game Leader courses for 2018, including a Female-only Level 4 Referee Course and an Adult-only Level 4 Referee course.
Capital Football considers the role and performance of referees and game leaders as important contributors to the football participation experience.
Capital Football offers two entry-level refereeing courses for persons aged 13 and over, the Game Leader Course and the Level 4 Referee Course.
The Game Leader course is designed to enable people across the football community to gain the basic knowledge and skills in officiating and implement those skills in Aldi Miniroos matches at your individual club. The course fee is $85 which includes a Game Leader (Green) Shirt, a whistle and your 2018 Game Leader registration fee for the season.
The Level 4 Referee course provides new referees or current Game Leaders with the knowledge and skills required to perform the duties of a referee and assistant referee for full-field matches. The course takes a full day to complete and includes both theory and practical components.
Female Football Week Level 4 Referee Course
A Level 4 Referee course exclusively for females will be held across 2 days as part of Female Football Week 2018.
The female-only course will be split across two days, Saturday 3rd March and Saturday 10th March and will be delivered by Capital Football’s leading match officials.

Adult-Only Level 4 Referee Course
Following the success of our first exclusive Adult-only Level 4 Referee course in October, Capital Football will hold an exclusive Adult-only Level 4 Referee course for all budding referees over the age of 18, and is designed to help clubs by provision of more adult referees, reducing the strain on host clubs on matchdays.
The course is aimed at adults to bring more senior referees in before the 2018 season, and will be held on Saturday 3rd February 2018 at the Canberra Deakin Sports Club from 9am to 3pm.
