The Kanga Cup, the biggest and best youth football tournament in the Southern Hemisphere, offers all the above and more over a week of top-class activities both on and off the field. But don’t just take our word for it. “This is a great tournament which is very well run,” Robert Del Checcolo, Football Manager of Adelaide City Juniors commented. “There are good quality teams competing which is beneficial for the players’ development as well as making it a great spectacle for the parents who also travel with their teams.”

Former Canberra United and Matildas international Ashleigh Sykes, who played in the competition for her hometown team the Dubbo Devils, remembered the off-pitch events as much as the actual football itself

“It was exciting to be a part of a team environment like the Kanga Cup,” she said. “The other memories I have are of all the off field adventures my family and friends did while we were in Canberra. Museums, bush walks, and movie nights were some highlights.

“A couple of years ago I got a chance to manage the All-Abilities competition of Kanga Cup which was lots of fun. The players competed in fantastic fashion and were a great example of what team spirit and sportsmanship involves.”
