How to accept and decline appointments


This page provides you with everything you need to know about accepting and declining appoitments using Dribl.


What happens when I get appointed to a match?

When you are appointed to a match you will receive a push notification via the Dribl app, and an email notification.

You are required to log in to Dribl to either accept or decline the appointment(s).

How do I view the details of an appointment?

To view the details of an appointment in Dribl:

  1. Change the Home page view to ‘Schedule’ view.
  2. Navigate to the date where you have been appointed to matches.
  3. Press on the appointment you wish to view.
  4. Select ‘View Fixture‘ from the pop-up menu.

After selecting ‘View Fixture’, you will be taken to the ‘Facts’ page of the Match which details all of the key information about the Match, which includes:

  • Kick-off time & countdown timer
  • Home Team & Away Team details (including age group and division)
  • Name of League
  • Round Number, Match date & kick-off time
  • Name of field and a map view of the field.

How do I accept an appointment?

To accept an appointment in Dribl:

  1. Change the Home page view to ‘Schedule’ view.
  2. Navigate to the date where you have been appointed to matches.
  3. Press on the appointment you wish to view.
  4. Select ‘Accept‘ from the pop-up menu.

A green circle next to the appointment indicates that you have accepted the appointment.

After an appointment is accepted, the Match will now appear on the Home page in Matches view.

How do I decline an appointment?

If you cannot accept the match you have been appointed to via Dribl, you must decline the appointment by completing a ‘Request Contact‘.

To complete a ‘Request Contact’  for an appointment:

  1. Change the Home page view to ‘Schedule’ view.
  2. Navigate to the date where you have been appointed to matches.
  3. Press on the appointment you wish to view.
  4. Select ‘Request Contact‘ from the pop-up menu.
  5. Enter the reason why you cannot accept the appointment.

An envelope icon will appear next to the appointment which indicates that you cannot accept the appointment published by CF or your Club Referee Coordinator.

CF or the CRC will review your appointment on receipt of your ‘Request Contact’ submission. The appointment will not be re-allocated to another Referee until approved by CF or the CRC.

What do I do if I am unable to fulfill an appointment after I have accepted the appointment in Dribl?

Once you have accepted an appointment, you are unable to decline the appointment in Dribl.

If you become unavailable after accepting an appointment in Dribl, you must:

  • Contact Mark Hester via phone for Senior Leagues, CPL or NPL appointments.
  • Contact your Club Referee Coordinator via phone for ActewAGL Junior Leagues appointments.
