2018 NPLW Capital Football Premiers Belconnen United will host NPLW NSW Premiers Sydney University S.F.C. in an NPLW Challenge Cup clash at McKellar Park on Saturday, 22nd September at 3pm.

United will come into the game off the back of Sunday’s Grand Final win against Canberra FC, while the Uni side have had a couple of weeks off following a Grand Final defeat at the hands of Macarthur Rams.

Belconnen United Head Coach Antoni Jagarinec said it would be a great chance to test his treble winning side against one of the best sides in NSW.

“Coming off the Grand Final last weekend I think we are all looking forward to the match this week,” he said.

“It will be a great opportunity for our squad to face off against one of the best teams from a very strong league, and against some very talented players.

Coached by Alex Epakis who was part of the Canberra United staff in Season 10 of the Westfield W-League, the University side finished on top of the competition ladder by a two point margin to the Illawarra Stingrays with an excellent for and against record.

Admission to the ground on Saturday will be free, so head out to McKellar for a cracking match between two excellent teams.
