After an enthralling, action-packed season it is time for the 2018 NPL season to come to a close with a bumper day of Grand Finals on Saturday.
The day kicks off with the U/18 Grand Final as Belconnen United take on the Riverina Rhinos at 10am, a match up that sees first take on second on the ladder and a rematch of the Qualifying Final where were 2-1 winners.
At 1:30pm, Belconnen United again feature, this time taking on the Monaro Panthers. Monaro progressed straight to the Grand Final with a 4-2 win over Gungahlin United in the Qualifying Final after finishing second to them, while Belconnen have come from fourth place to win their two finals and book a spot in the big dance.
And at 5pm, it’s the big one as Canberra Olympic and Canberra FC meet for the fifth time this season and the second in finals. Olympic knocked off their storied rivals in the Qualifying Final in a 5-3 shootout, but Canberra FC rebounded to thrash Tigers 5-0 in the Preliminary Final this past weekend and book their spot in the Grand Final.
Entry to Deakin Stadium on Saturday will be $5 for adults, and $2 for Concession/Children.
