The National Premier League Girls competition reached Round 11 this weekend with four matches across the capital, whilst the NPL17 division saw a catch-up game played in midweek. Here is what happened.
NPL14
Majura FC cemented their place in the top four of the Girls National Premier League U14 competition with a 2-1 win over Gungahlin United in the early morning sunshine at Dickson. Isabella Clark notched twice for Canberra Croatia in their 2-1 win over Belconnen United at Yarralumla, with Eliza Georgiou pulling one back for the Blue Devils, and Canberra Olympic saw off Tuggeranong United by winning 2-0 at O’Connor Enclosed.

Canberra Olympic kept up their pursuit of a place in the top four in the National Premier League Girls U15 competition as they saw off a resilient Tuggeranong United to claim a 2-0 win at O’Connor Enclosed. Further up the table, Majura FC continued their chase to catch the league leaders with a comfortable 3-0 home win over Gungahlin United at Dickson Playing Fields, while at Yarralumla Playing Fields goals from Amy Sephora and Evie Youden saw Belconnen United score a 2-1 away success over Canberra Croatia for whom Maddie Tuttle struck in reply. And, at Melrose Synthetic, goals from Amelie Moss, Zoe Van Oosten, and Milica Andrew-Gavazov helped West Canberra Wanderers to a 3-0 success over visiting BellaMonaro.

NPL17
The National Premier League Girls U17 competition saw midweek action as BellaMonaro hosted Canberra Croatia at South Jerrabomberra Regional Sporting Complex where goals from Mei Channing, Emmalea Kalenjuk, Keira Nugent, and Alyssa Barbatano gave the visitors a 0-4 victory. Ironically, Croatia were to feel the exact same as BellaMonaro on Sunday as Belconnen United secured a 4-0 away win at Deakin Stadium. At the same time, Sofia Pirotta netted a hat-trick, and Darcy Williams a double, as Canberra Olympic won 7-0 against Tuggeranong United at O’Connor Enclosed, and Majura FC downed Gungahlin United netting three without concession at Ainslie. Chloe Howell struck four, and Alexis Garrett three, as West Canberra Wanderers scored twelve in their win over BellaMonaro.
