NPL14
A full midweek programme saw Brindabella Blues come from behind to defeat Woden Valley on Tuesday evening, Stephen Adoyi scoring twice in the 2-1 win, Gungahlin United recorded a decent 3-1 away win over Canberra Croatia at Kambah 2, and a goal from Jake Konjevic helped West Canberra Wanderers to a 1-0 win over O’Connor Knights at Melrose Synthetic. On Wednesday, Monaro Panthers defeated Radford college 1-0 at South Jerrabomberra through a goal from Frederick Hempenstall, whilst Canberra Olympic saw off Majura FC 4-1 at AIS Grass. Saturday saw Tigers FC defeated in an unbelievable match at home to Wagga City Wanderers, losing 4-6 despite leading 4-1 at half-time. Five second-half goals turned the match on its head on favour of Wagga. O’Connor Knights eased past Woden Valley 4-0, featuring four different scorers, West Canberra Wanderers and Belconnen United shared four goals in a lively 2-2 draw, and Gungahlin United hit seven, including two each for Alexander Gourgouras, Ayomiken Oyedele and O’Shea Clohessy as they defeated Canberra Olympic 7-2. Radford College edged Brindabella Blues 1-0 at Calwell, while Monaro Panthers were 2-0 winners over Majura FC. On Sunday, Canberra Croatia eased past Wagga City Wanderers in an exhilarating match, claiming a 4-2 win, and Tigers FC and Tuggeranong United shared six goals in a 3-3 draw.

Goals from Nick Barry, Ciaran Lau, and Emiliano Darmiani helped Brindabella Blues to a midweek 3-1 win over Woden Valley in the NPL15 competition at Calwell. Over at Kambah Canberra Croatia and Gungahlin United shared six goals in a 3-3 draw. Elijah Birrell scoring twice for Croatia, Andreas Kaskoutas doing likewise for Gunners. Four different players found the net for O’Connor Knights as they defeated West Canberra Wanderers 4-2 at Melrose, the same for Canberra Olympic in their 4-0 win over Majura FC. Meanwhile, Kritaarth Nagpal netted both goals for Radford College in their 2-0 win over Monaro Panthers. Wagga City Wanderers duo Daniel Hardy and Cody Willis scored two each on Saturday morning as the Wanderers beat Tigers FC 4-1, Woden Valley were too strong for O’Connor Knights in their 3-0 home success, Lucas Carbonell netted two as Belconnen United won 4-1 away at West Canberra Wanderers, while Brindabella Blues claimed the points with a 3-2 win over Radford College at Calwell. Elsewhere, Monaro Panthers eased themselves to a 4-0 home win over Majura FC at South Jerrabomberra, whilst Gungahlin United were 1-0 victors over Canberra Olympic in a match played at O’Connor Enclosed. Canberra Croatia claimed the points on Sunday morning as Cooper San Juan, Charlie Moss (penalty), Harry Dawn, and Elijah Birrell scored in a 4-1 win over Wagga City Wanderers, whilst Tigers FC and Tuggeranong United ended 2-2.

In the midweek catch-up match in NPL16 played at Nicholls Synthetic, Sam York scored twice, and Ignacio Menezes once, as Belconnen United won 3-1 away to Majura FC for whom Yassin Dobie struck. On the weekend, Monaro Panthers were too good for Majura FC as they won 3-1 at South Jerrabomberra Regional Sporting Complex, Anas Elsergany scored twice as O’Connor Knights defeated Woden Valley 4-0, Omar Hamid also scored two as Gungahlin United ran out 3-2 come from behind winners away to Canberra Olympic at O’Connor Enclosed, and Tigers FC’s Callum Rees made sure his team got a point, equalising a goal from William Johns for Wagga City Wanderers in a match at the AIS that ended 1-1. At Melrose Synthetic, a six-goal haul from Sam York helped Belconnen United to three points as they were too good for this hosts West Canberra Wanderers, eventually winning 11-1, whilst Brindabella Blues defeated Radford College 5-1. At Yarralumla, Canberra Croatia and Wagga City Wanderers drew 2-2 with Kione Mbogo and Isaac Kirkpatrick netting for the home team and Jacob Comtesse and Julian Lovelock replying for the visiting team, while Tigers defeated Tuggeranong United 2-1.

O’Connor Knights kept their hopes of final football aflame in their midweek catch-up match as they saw off the challenge of Tuggeranong United with a 3-0 victory at Nicholls Synthetic in NPL18. Goals from Cos Arena (2), and Josip Jukic proved enough for the Knights. Honours were even at Calwell as Brindabella Blues Duot Mabior cancelled out a Luka Seckar goal for Radford College as the match ended 1-1, Jordan Forka scored three, and Carter Connell two, in Tigers FC 8-0 win over Wagga City Wanderers at the AIS. Esmail Zahir claimed a hat-trick, including the first three goals, for Gungahlin United as they swamped Canberra Olympic 2-5 at O’Connor Enclosed, with Zac Harri and Kwol Kwol the other Gunners scorers. At Stryda Park, two second half goals allowed Majura FC to record a 2-0 away win over Monaro Panthers, while a goal from Louis Lou was enough for O’Connor Knights to win 1-0 against Woden Valley at Mawson. Following on from his six goals in NPL16, Sam York scored three more at this level in a big away win for Belconnen United against West Canberra Wanderers. Alex Couldrick, Tyler Andreatta from the penalty spot, and an own goal from Samuel Connolly allowed Tigers FC to defeat Tuggeranong United 3-0, and Darcy Middleton scored twice as Canberra Croatia sauntered to an 8-1 win over Wagga City Wanderers.
