The National Premier Leagues Boys competitions reached Round 13 on the weekend with yet more action across all our grounds both in Canberra and across the region. Here’s the latest news.

Gungahlin United cruised to a 5-nil victory over Wagga City Wanderers in the U14’s with three first half goals through Sarjak Pathak, Alec Latta, and a Wagga own goal, while Mounir Jbieli and William Oh scored in the second half to seal the win. Canberra Croatia took care of Woden Valley at Mawson Playing Fields with a comprehensive 4-0 win, as Ryan Arrouk and Albert Mackintosh each got a brace. West Canberra Wanderers got a vital win over Radford College, with goals in either half from Jordan Cecchini and Niko Zapasnik-Grodecki sealing the points. O’Connor Knights eased past Brindabella Blues in a complete team performance, as five different players found the back of the net. Belconnen United and Monaro Panthers each left Kaleen Enclosed with a share of the points, Chigozie Ogbonnaya and Aidan Henry scoring for the hosts, while Daniel Mirchev and Damon Martin did so for the visitors.

Three goals in the first half saw Gungahlin United take points over Wagga City Wanderers in the U15’s, as Amal Kamara, Narththanan Sayanthan and Soham Ray scored for the home side, while Jackson Myers replied for the Wanderers. Canberra Croatia left Mawson Playing Fields with three points after a first half brace from Cooper San Juan powered the side to a win. Points were shared between West Canberra Wanderers and Radford College, as second half goals from Karim Adhami and Cooper Kerr saw the point split. O’Connor Knights saw out a comfortable win against Brindabella Blues as Dayami Ganas, Logan Volkert and Luca Staltari finding the back of the net. Belconnen United stormed to a dominant 7-2 win over Monaro Panthers, as Lucas Vallecilla Carbonell bagged a treble with Bo Rodziewicz, Chimdiebube Ogbonnaya, Maz Boardman and Tallen Evatt also scored. Ian Scott and Shammah Tshibangu scored for the Panthers. Tuggeranong United saw off Majura FC at Kambah 202, with a professional three goal win, Zac Marris, Jordan Corsini, and Benjamin Snell the scorers. Tigers FC prevailed over Canberra Olympic in a five goal thriller at O’Connor Enclosed. Dylan Bates, Luca Codina and Henry Shoring scored for Tigers, whilst Ben Scanlan and Marley Hately replied for the home side.

An eleven goal thriller highlighted the Boys National Premier League U16 competition as Tuggeranong United defeated Majura FC 6-5 at Kambah 2. Matthew Sheriff struck four for United, with Nithin Naveen bagging a double for Majura FC in response. A double from Adam Przydacz helped Canberra Olympic to a 5-3 win over Tigers FC, whilst a two goals from Sacha Oldfield led West Canberra Wanderers to a 3-1 win over Radford College. O’Connor Knights stormed to a victory in their midweek clash with Majura FC as they netted nine times without reply at Nicholls Synthetic. Dylan Penders scored twice, as did Nicholas Baird in a convincing win for the home team who moved up to fifth on the ladder and they continued their good form with a weekend 5-0 win over Brindabella Blues. Liam Kneeshaw, Jonah Briggs and Neil Sidhu all scored twice as Belconnen United hit ten against Monaro Panthers, Lemar Katawazai and Cristiano Subasic doing likewise for Canberra Croatia in their 7-2 away win over Woden Valley, and Gungahlin United bagged six against Wagga City Wanderers, who got three in reply,

Goals from Mikael Mirchev and Zac Oysten ensured Tuggeranong United earned all three points with a 2-0 win over Majura FC at Kambah 2 in the national Premier League U18 competition. At O’Connor enclosed, Riley O’Sullivan scored three for Tigers FC, outshooting Canberra Olympic’s Omuaru Ezekiel-Hart who got two in response as Tigers edged it by the odd goal in five. On Saturday, Noah Hewitt and Kwol Kwol scored two each as Gungahlin United hit Wagga Coty Wanderers for six, Belconnen United managing the same number of goals in their 6-0 win over Monaro Panthers, Frederick Kushnick on target again. Woden valley and Canberra Croatia shared the spoils in a 1-=1 draw at Mawson, Leon McLean putting the visitors ahead only for Musa Bouhafs to equalise. Two goals min three minutes from a penalty from Denis Zimba, and Riley Brown, helped Brindabella Blues to a 2-1 win away to O’Connor knights, for whom Louis Lou scored, and Radford College roared to a 5-1 away win over West Canberra Wanderers, David Ochayi, Seith Carmody, William McCracken, and Osama Ahmed with two, netting the goals.
